Recovery changes a relationship. For some couples, the safest next step is not separating the recovery plan from the housing plan. It is building structure around both people at the same time.
Tina Marie's Recovery Housing offers couples sober living in Dayton, Ohio when both partners are committed to recovery and the current home setup supports a safe placement. Couples housing is not automatic. It starts with a confidential intake for each partner so we can understand readiness, safety, clinical needs, payment options, and whether living together supports recovery right now.
How couples housing works
Couples in recovery need the same thing every resident needs: a substance-free home, honest accountability, daily structure, and people who will tell the truth when things get hard. The difference is that two people are rebuilding at the same time, so both partners need to agree to the same expectations before move-in.
Individual Intake for Each Partner
Both people complete intake so the placement is based on recovery fit, not only relationship status.
Shared Structure
House meetings, drug testing, curfew, chores, and recovery expectations apply to both partners.
Clinical Coordination
IOP, PHP, counseling, and mental-health support can be coordinated through Visualize Wellness Living Therapeutic Services.
Availability-Based Placement
Couples housing depends on the current home setup, bed availability, and whether the placement supports safety and sobriety. Where space allows, couples may be placed at our Bear Creek recovery home in Miamisburg.
Who couples sober living is for
Couples sober living may be a fit when both partners are sober or actively entering recovery, both agree to accountability, and both want a structured home environment instead of returning to an unstable setting. It can also help couples stepping down from inpatient, PHP, or IOP treatment who need housing to support the next stage.
It may not be the right fit if only one partner wants recovery, if the relationship is unsafe, or if living together would make relapse risk worse. We would rather be honest during intake than place a couple into a setup that does not support long-term sobriety.
What couples should expect
Couples follow the same sober living expectations as every resident at Tina Marie's: substance-free living, drug testing, house meetings, curfew, respect for the home, participation in recovery activities, and clinical coordination when appropriate. The goal is not just to stay together. The goal is to get well together without one person's recovery carrying the other person's recovery.
Payment and availability
Payment depends on the placement, current availability, and clinical-service coordination. Tina Marie's accepts Medicaid for eligible clinical services through our partner network and discusses vouchers, sliding-scale support, and private-pay options during intake.
