Some homes you walk into and your shoulders finally come down from around your ears. That's what we wanted Bear Creek to feel like.
The Bear Creek home is one of Tina Marie's recovery homes — a structured sober living residence on a private, wooded lot in Miamisburg, Ohio, just south of Dayton. It's part of the same community, the same program, and the same belief that drives everything we do: people recover when they have the right environment, real structure, and someone who refuses to give up on them.
A real home, with room to heal
Early recovery is hard enough without feeling like you're living in a waiting room. Bear Creek is the opposite of that. It's a genuine house with the kind of common spaces that pull people together instead of pushing them into their rooms:
A gathering kitchen
A large open kitchen with a butcher-block island and a dining table big enough for the whole house — because shared meals are where a lot of recovery actually happens.
A family room that fills up
A warm living room with a brick fireplace, comfortable seating, and space for house meetings, movie nights, and the conversations that change people.
A cedar sunroom
A bright, quiet sunroom opening onto the backyard — somewhere to journal, pray, call your sponsor, or just sit and breathe.
Wooded, private grounds
Set back on a peaceful, tree-lined lot away from the noise — the kind of calm that's hard to find and harder to put a price on in early recovery.
The same structured program
Bear Creek isn't a different program — it's the same Tina Marie's recovery model in a different home. Every resident moves through a clear structure built to rebuild stability, responsibility, and independence:
- A 7–14 day observation period to settle in safely before stepping into the full program.
- Life-skills and job-readiness work — budgeting, communication, resume help, and connections to Dayton-area employers.
- Accountability — house meetings, structured schedules, peer support, and random and scheduled drug testing.
- Transportation to AA/NA meetings and clinical appointments.
- Clinical support — IOP, PHP, counseling, and mental-health care through our partner, Visualize Wellness Living Therapeutic Services.
The full program typically runs 9 to 12 months. For the complete picture of how it works, see our overview of structured sober living in Dayton.
How residents pay
Almost nobody pays full price out of pocket. We accept Medicaid (CareSource, Buckeye, Molina, and UnitedHealthcare Ohio plans) and help residents combine Medicaid-billed clinical services with vouchers and sliding-scale support.
