A man in early recovery doesn't just need to get clean. He needs to get his footing — work, discipline, self-respect, and a few good men around him who won't let him quit.
Tina Marie's Recovery Housing provides structured men's sober living in Dayton, Ohio. Men and women are housed separately, so the men here live in a community built on accountability and brotherhood — the kind of environment where it's safe to do the hard work and impossible to hide from it.
Our founder, Kevin "Coach Sat" Saterfield, spent his life coaching young men to be more than they thought they could be — on the football field, in the classroom, and in the community. That same belief runs through this house: structure, discipline, and never giving up on a man who's fighting for his life back.
What the men's program is built on
Accountability & Brotherhood
House meetings, peer support, structured schedules, and drug testing. Men who hold each other to a higher standard.
Job Readiness & Work
Resume help, interview prep, and employer connections across Dayton — because a paycheck and purpose protect sobriety.
Life Skills
Budgeting, communication, conflict resolution, and the discipline of running your own day.
Clinical Support
IOP, PHP, counseling, and mental-health care through our partner, Visualize Wellness Living.
Why work matters so much in men's recovery
For a lot of men, identity and stability are tied to being able to provide. Idle time and no income are two of the fastest roads back to relapse. That's why job readiness isn't a side program here — it's central. We help men rebuild a resume, prepare for interviews, and connect with Dayton-area employers, so recovery comes with a future, not just a roof.
From treatment to here, and from here to independence
Many of the men we serve are stepping down from inpatient, PHP, or IOP treatment. We coordinate with discharge planners and case managers across the Miami Valley to make that handoff seamless. The program runs 9 to 12 months, starting with a 7–14 day observation period, then progressively building the independence to leave and stay sober. Veterans in recovery can also explore our veteran-specific housing near the Dayton VA.
Registered, confidential, and built right
We're OhioMHAS-registered, pursuing ORH certification (expected August 2026), and protect every resident's records under 42 CFR Part 2 — stricter than HIPAA.
How men pay for sober living
We accept Medicaid (CareSource, Buckeye, Molina, UnitedHealthcare Ohio) and combine it with vouchers and sliding-scale support so cost doesn't keep a man out of recovery. See the full breakdown in our Dayton sober living cost guide.
