Some homes you walk into and your shoulders finally come down from around your ears. That's what we wanted Bear Creek to feel like.
The Bear Creek home is one of Tina Marie's recovery homes — a structured sober living residence on a private, wooded lot in Miamisburg, Ohio, just south of Dayton. It's part of the same community, the same program, and the same belief that drives everything we do: people recover when they have the right environment, real structure, and someone who refuses to give up on them.
A real home, with room to heal
Early recovery is hard enough without feeling like you're living in a waiting room. Bear Creek is the opposite of that. It's a genuine house with the kind of common spaces that pull people together instead of pushing them into their rooms:
A gathering kitchen
A large open kitchen with a butcher-block island and a dining table big enough for the whole house — because shared meals are where a lot of recovery actually happens.
A family room that fills up
A warm living room with a brick fireplace, comfortable seating, and space for house meetings, movie nights, and the conversations that change people.
A cedar sunroom
A bright, quiet sunroom opening onto the backyard — somewhere to journal, pray, call your sponsor, or just sit and breathe.
Wooded, private grounds
Set back on a peaceful, tree-lined lot away from the noise — the kind of calm that's hard to find and harder to put a price on in early recovery.
The same structured program
Bear Creek isn't a different program — it's the same Tina Marie's recovery model in a different home. Every resident moves through a clear structure built to rebuild stability, responsibility, and independence:
- A 7–14 day observation period to settle in safely before stepping into the full program.
- Life-skills and job-readiness work — budgeting, communication, resume help, and connections to Dayton-area employers.
- Accountability — house meetings, structured schedules, peer support, and random and scheduled drug testing.
- Transportation to AA/NA meetings and clinical appointments.
- Clinical support — IOP, PHP, counseling, and mental-health care through our clinical provider.
The full program typically runs 9 to 12 months. For the complete picture of how it works, see our overview of structured sober living in Dayton.
How residents pay
Almost nobody pays full price out of pocket. We accept Medicaid (CareSource, Buckeye, Molina, and UnitedHealthcare Ohio plans) and help residents combine Medicaid-billed clinical services with vouchers and sliding-scale support. Why a quieter, wooded setting helps early recovery
Location isn't a small detail in recovery — it's part of the treatment. Early sobriety is fragile, and the environment around a person either pulls them back toward old patterns or gives them room to build new ones. Bear Creek was chosen on purpose: set back on a private, tree-lined lot away from the traffic, the noise, and the corners tied to using, it lowers the everyday triggers that make the first months so hard. The creek, the deck, the sunroom, the quiet — they aren't luxuries, they're what a nervous system in early recovery needs to settle. It's the same principle behind relocating for recovery: distance from the old environment is a feature, not a compromise. Residents still stay fully connected to their program — meetings, testing, appointments, work — but they come home each night to calm instead of chaos.
Recovery housing in Miamisburg & the south Dayton metro
The Bear Creek home sits on Bear Creek Road in Miamisburg, Ohio (Montgomery County), a short drive south of downtown Dayton and easy to reach from I-75 and the Austin Landing area. That location makes it a natural fit for people and families across the south Dayton metro who want to stay close to home while they get well — including West Carrollton, Moraine, Centerville, Kettering, Springboro, Germantown, and Farmersville.
Being on the south side keeps residents close to the support that recovery runs on: a full schedule of AA and NA meetings across Miamisburg, Centerville, and Kettering; area hospitals and outpatient providers for clinical care; and Greater Dayton RTA access for those rebuilding toward independence. And because Ohio Medicaid follows you across the state, someone stepping down from treatment in Cincinnati or Columbus can settle into Bear Creek and keep their coverage — many families choose the south metro specifically because it's close enough to visit but far enough from the old neighborhood to matter. Call (326) 212-0542 for the exact address, current bed availability, and to schedule a tour.
